A woman’s mid-life crisis leads her on a colourful comic odyssey around the evolving city of Prague as she reassesses her values in love, relationships and what is truly important to her.
Powerfully scripted and full of raw emotion, Keane is a gritty, contemporary story about a father’s frantic search for his missing daughter. British actor Damian Lewis gives a brilliant performance opposite rising young star Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine).
While waiting for a bus at New York’s Port Authority bus terminal William Keane (Damian Lewis) is momentarily distracted, taking his eyes off six-year-old daughter Sophie who is never to be seen again. William’s days are spent scouring the bus terminal looking for Sophie. Engulfed by guilt and anguish he walks the streets wounded, appearing deluded and homeless, numbing the pain with drink, drugs and casual sex. William resides in a shabby run-down hotel, and it is here that he meets Lynn (Amy Ryan) a financially troubled single mum who rents a room with seven-year-old daughter Kira (Abigail Breslin). Lynn and William eventually befriend each other and William offers to look after Kira while Lynn is not home; time he hopes will fill the void left by the loss of his daughter. Tension mounts as William begins to question his ability to cope with the responsibility of looking after Kira.
