The WORLD MOVIES Channel Radar has been switched on and is sweeping the world’s film vaults for hidden cinematic gems, underground cuts and innovative eye candy.

The Radar: Located. Chosen. Screened.
Internationally acclaimed director Michael Haneke creates yet another masterpiece with Hidden, a tense and unpredictable psychological thriller about a family tormented by a terrifying stalker. Starring two of France’s most acclaimed actors, Daniel Auteuil and Juliette Binoche, the film was nominated for the prestigious Palme d’Or at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival.

Husband and wife Georges and Anne live happily in Paris with their teenage son Pierrot. One day TV presenter Georges receives an anonymous package containing drawings and video surveillance footage. At first suspecting Pierrot of sending the items as a prank, Georges and Anne discover somebody has a personal vendetta against Georges, who has a hidden secret from his past. A haunting, final last twist will keep you intrigued until the last shot.

Filming took place in Paris and Vienna, and was the first film where Haneke used high-definition video cameras. As well as the Palme d’Or nomination at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, Hidden won Best Director, FIPRESCI Prize and the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury.
